Why are you doing this?

Three reasons:

1. I want to support charity, specifically Misericordia Heart of Mercy, which is a fantastic cause close to my heart.
2. I'd like some fun/funny external motivation to accomplish two athletic goals I've set for myself.
3. I'm trying to learn how to build simple full-stack applications.

How do the donations work?

You can choose a side FOR or AGAINST each of my goals. Proceeds go 100% to charity -- the prediction is just for fun.

What happens to the money?

100% is donated to charity regardless of the outcome. The charity is Misericordia Heart of Mercy.

Is this real money? How can I trust you?

Yes. Payments are collected by Stripe (a very common 3rd party payment platform) and stored in a separate, personal bank account I will deposit to Misericordia.

Is this legal?

This platform is designed as a novelty fundraising effort and has no guaranteed returns. It is 100% a charity donation mechanism.
